Law Mock started with a frustration we kept hearing in our own classrooms — and a stubborn belief that a candidate in Ranchi deserves the same quality of preparation as one in Delhi.
For years, the team behind De Facto IAS trained civil-services aspirants. Then a pattern emerged. After every lecture, a handful of students would stay back with a different question: "Sir, I'm also preparing for the judiciary. Where do I even get good material?"
We didn't have a clean answer — and that bothered us. Judiciary preparation in India was, frankly, a mess. A student aiming for the Bihar Civil Judge exam would stitch together photocopied notes from a senior, a coaching PDF written for a different state, and YouTube videos that quietly skipped the local Acts that the actual paper tested. There was no single place that respected how state-specific this exam really is.
So we stopped complaining and started building
Law Mock is what we built instead. The idea was simple to say and hard to do: take every judiciary exam in the country, map its real syllabus — including the state Rent Control, Land Revenue, Excise and Tenancy Acts that get ignored — and put it behind clean mocks, honest analytics, and notes anchored to the canonical textbooks that examiners actually quote.
What we actually care about
The local Acts, not just the central ones
Most platforms teach CPC and IPC and stop. We write the Kerala Building Rent Control Act and the UP Revenue Code too — because that's where state papers separate the prepared from the hopeful.
Honest difficulty
Our mocks mirror the real paper's question count, subject split and bench-level phrasing. No inflated scores to keep you feeling good.
Analytics that tell the truth
After every mock we show you the subjects you're weakest in — per exam — and link straight to the notes that fix them.
Sourced, not invented
Every note is cross-checked against bare Acts on India Code and reputable case reporting. We'd rather say nothing than say something wrong.

Law Mock is in open beta, and during the beta everything is free — every mock, every note, the full analytics dashboard. We're a small team that would rather earn your trust with the product than with a discount banner. When paid plans arrive, the core practice will stay accessible, because a paywall on the basics was the exact problem we set out to solve.
