Terms of Use
The rules of the road, in plain language. Use Law Mock to prepare honestly, and we'll keep building you the best practice we can.
Last updated 19 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Law Mock (the "Platform"), operated as a product of De Facto IAS. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to them. We've kept them readable on purpose — if anything is unclear, write to legalrepublic.in@gmail.com.
1. Who can use Law Mock
You may use the Platform if you can form a binding contract under Indian law. If you're under 18, use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity under your account.
2. What we provide
Law Mock offers mock tests, chapter-wise notes, previous-year papers, current affairs and a performance dashboard for various law examinations. The Platform is currently in beta and free to use. We work hard on accuracy, but the Platform is a preparation aid — it is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the official syllabus, bare Acts, or notifications issued by any High Court or Public Service Commission.
3. Your account and conduct
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our notes, questions or other content without written permission;
- share your account so others avoid registering, or use bots/automated tools to harvest content;
- attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Platform; or
- upload anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
4. Intellectual property
All notes, mock questions, explanations, design and branding on the Platform are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Your registration gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own exam preparation — nothing more.
5. Accuracy and corrections
We verify content against authoritative sources and fix confirmed errors quickly. If you spot a mistake, please report it. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on any content that later turns out to be inaccurate or out of date — treat the Platform as practice, and verify anything decisive against the bare Act and official notification.
6. Availability and changes
Being in beta, features may change, pause, or be added. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for exam outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months — which, during the free beta, is typically nil.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our place of business shall have jurisdiction, subject to any contrary mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
