Conducted by the High Court of A.P. (Amaravati) for Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) in a Screening → Written → Viva format. Answers are in English, but there is a Telugu⇄English translation paper. Strategy: clear the screening cut-off comfortably, then build translation speed early.

Gauhati High Court selects Assam Judicial Service Grade III through Prelims → Mains → Viva. Assamese is tested in BOTH prelims and Mains, so it cannot be left for the end. Strategy: pair core-law revision with steady Assamese practice from day one.

BPSC (Patna) runs Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) recruitment over Prelims → Mains → Interview, with a wide law + GK load and Hindi/English translation papers in Mains. Strategy: respect the breadth — lock the bare acts and current affairs, and drill translation.

CGPSC conducts the exam for the High Court of Chhattisgarh (Prelims → Mains → Viva). Prelims is bilingual and Mains carries a Hindi↔English translation block. Strategy: build a strong central-law base and add the CG local-law and translation pieces.

The High Court of Delhi runs one of the most competitive exams (Prelims → Mains → Viva); eligibility needs 3+ years at the Bar and age ≤ 32. English, with Hindi↔English translation in Mains. Strategy: go for depth and precision — cut-offs are very high.

The High Court of Bombay at Goa selects Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) & JMFC; Mains can be written in Konkani, Marathi or English. Strategy: pick your language paper early and master Goa-specific civil and tenancy law alongside the central codes.

The High Court of Gujarat (Ahmedabad) uses an eliminative Prelims → Mains → Viva; the paper is in English and Mains answers may be in English or Gujarati (AIBE required for recent grads). Strategy: treat prelims as a real filter and keep answers crisp.

HPSC (Panchkula) recruits to HCS (Judicial Branch) via Prelims → Mains → Viva; Mains is in English with one Hindi (Devnagri) paper. Strategy: don’t lose easy marks on the Hindi paper — it sinks otherwise strong candidates.

HPPSC (Shimla) conducts Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) selection (Prelims → Mains → Viva) with English and Hindi (Devnagari) papers in Mains. Strategy: a solid bare-act + HP local-law base plus disciplined bilingual answer practice.

JPSC (Ranchi) selects Civil Judge / Munsif on the High Court’s requisition through Prelims → Mains → Viva, in Hindi & English. Strategy: master the core codes and procedure, and practise Hindi legal writing for the Mains language paper.

The High Court of Karnataka (Bengaluru) runs Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) recruitment (Prelims → Mains → Viva) with a Kannada translation paper; answers may be in Kannada. Strategy: secure the Kannada component and keep substantive law application-ready.

The High Court of Kerala selects Munsiff-Magistrate (Prelims → Mains incl. Viva); the medium is English with Malayalam translation in Mains Paper I. Strategy: aim for accuracy on a tight syllabus — Kerala’s cut-offs reward precision over volume.

The High Court of M.P. (Jabalpur) conducts Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) entry via Prelims → Mains → Interview, in Hindi & English with a translation paper. Strategy: combine central-code mastery with MP local laws and steady judgment-writing practice.

MPSC (Mumbai) selects Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) & JMFC (Prelims → Mains → Interview); Marathi fluency is required and Mains can be in Marathi or English. Strategy: build genuine Marathi comfort early — it is non-negotiable here.

OPSC (Cuttack) runs Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) recruitment over Prelims → Mains → Interview; you must read, write and speak Odia fluently. Strategy: treat Odia as a core subject, not an afterthought, alongside the bare acts.

The Rajasthan High Court (Jodhpur) selects Civil Judges via Prelims → Mains → Interview; prelims marks only short-list and are not added to merit, and thorough Hindi plus Rajasthani customs are required. Strategy: peak for Mains — that is where merit is made.

The High Court for Telangana selects Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) through Screening → Written → Viva; 3 years’ practice and Telugu reading/writing are required. Strategy: clear screening, then convert with strong substantive answers and Telugu fluency.

UPPSC (Prayagraj) runs the high-vacancy UP Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) exam (Prelims → Mains → Viva); working Hindi in Devanagari is essential and attempts are capped at four. Strategy: maximise your limited attempts — be exam-ready, not just syllabus-complete.
